The first doctor to become the President, People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Prof. A.Q.M. Badruddoza Chowdhury is one of the founders of Medical College for Women & Hospital and Former Chairman & current Advisor to BOT of Medical and Health Welfare Trust. He is a physician, cultural activist, author, essayist, playwright, television presenter, and orator of distinction.
In 1992, he, along with three BOT members, established the Medical College for Women & Hospital. In this institution, he taught the students as Professor of Medicine.
National Professor of Bangladesh. He was the Founder of Central Hospital, Dhaka and Bangladesh Pediatric Association. He established the Pediatric unit in Rajshahi Medical College and Dhaka Shishu Hospital.
He was honored as the National Professor of Bangladesh in 1994 and received the ‘Ekushey Padak’ in 2009 and the Independence Day Award in 2016.
One of the first gynecologists to start prenatal classes for women. She co-founded Medical College for Women & Hospital and held the position of Treasurer.
She was an Academic and Medical Researcher, with pioneering research on Breast cancer. She established the LakeView Clinic in 1982.
Eminent physician and visionary, he co-founded the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and the Medical College for Women & Hospital.
He retired as Professor & Head of the Department of Medicine from IPGMR (now BSMMU) and contributed selflessly to the scientific society.
